Rio Solar Lta. is offering the full range of services necessary for the implementation of renewable energies: planning, installation, and operation - but also related tasks such as promotion, site-selection, consulting, yield prediction, financing, importation and testing. The main focus of the company is photovoltaic solar energy.

Rio Solar Ltda. was found in 1998 by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Krauter in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, together with a former student of him, Servulo Barros de Oliveira. Since then Rio Solar realized several projects in Rio de Janeiro, Penedo, Duque de Caxias, Ilha Grande, and Ceará. Rio Solar's core staff consits of 5 people: Prof. Stefan Krauter (Founder, CTO), Servulo Barros de Oliveira (Sales, COO), Maximilian Kern (Administration), Dr. Norma Blandon (Project management, Civil engineering), Elena Kempf (Promotion, Events)
